I've been using Apple CarPlay for over a year with a wired connection between my iPhone 11 Pro and my 2021 Toyota RAV4 Prime. Overall, it's been great, but I usually have to restart the car's audio system (by holding the volume/on-off knob in for several seconds) at least a couple of times each week because the phone and the car don't connect properly. About a month ago I decided to buy a CarPlay wireless adapter to see if I would appreciate the convenience of a wireless connection. I must say, it works seamlessly! And to my surprise, the wireless adapter seems to work even better than a wired connection. I've only had to restart the audio system in my car just once in a month! After using the adapter for a couple of weeks it was a no-brainer; I bought a second one for my Friend to use in her 2021 Venza! And she loves it because she can just leave her iPhone in her purse. |

I have used this adapter for about 3 weeks in a 2019 Honda Accord. The installation instructions were clear, and I was able to connect within a few minutes. The adapter usually boots up and connects within about 20 seconds. With 3 weeks of connecting multiple times per day, I've only had 2 situations where the car did not recognize the device. I just unplugged it and plugged it back in, and it worked. Generally I've found that Siri commands and touch screen commands have a similar response time to wired CarPlay. However, there is a noticeable delay in responding to steering wheel buttons (for example, fast forwarding in Spotify. The audio quality of calls and music also seem similar to wired CarPlay. I paired this with a "CarQiWireless Wireless Charger" so I do not need to deal with cables in the car anymore. Overall it's been a big upgrade to not deal with frequent wired CarPlay interruptions from bumps in the road, and to have less wear and tear on the phone charging port. |

This product is actually quite useful. Does the job, works as it intends to. Now I can have my phone and cables out of sight. However a few notable things to point out. • The initial setup is generally straightforward but the way it’s written in the manual is rather comical, at least in English. Though I suspect it’s probably due to translation errors. • As with all wireless CarPlay dongles, lag input is inevitable. This is most notable when using navigation or changing the track from steering wheel controls or the infotainment screen itself. • Like many dongles, it does take a few seconds for the dongle to fully connect CarPlay when turning on your vehicle, especially since it’s using Bluetooth. • The material that the dongle is made out of, both casing, and the wire, has the tendency of collecting dust easily. Doesn’t bother me personally since I have it somewhat hidden, but it’s something you should keep in mind. • Audio streaming quality is fantastic. Haven’t had issues with it distorting or glitching out. • Navigation is impressive and actually fixed my personal problem with GPS location glitching out when using the wired CarPlay setup. This was just a bonus on my part. Can’t imagine this being too common but it does help. • LED indicator is very small, making it way less distracting in night travels. I’ve had this dongle for a few days and went on a road trip using it without any issues. Hope this dongle would be the same for your experience. |
CAN'T FIND THE BLUETOOTH OR WIFI OF THE DONGLE?
If convenient, you can test it with another iPhone. If only a specific iPhone cannot find the Bluetooth or WiFi of the dongle, please try to reset the network and Bluetooth settings of this iPhone and then restart the phone once; if the same problem happens on other iPhones, the unit may be defective. In this case, please let us know and we will solve it for you.
CAN THE ADAPTER BE PAIRED WITH MULTIPLE PHONES?
The dongle can be paired with multiple iPhones, but only one device can be connected at a time. Please note, by Bluetooth function default, the dongle's system will only auto-connect back to the last used iPhone.
UNABLE TO AUTOMATICALLY RECONNECT?
In some cars, we need to select "automatic connection" in the CarPlay settings, so that the automatic connection function of the dongle can be used. Other cases: 1. Please make sure that the Bluetooth and WiFi functions of your mobile phone are turned on and the Bluetooth is not occupied when you get in the car; 2. Clear the pairing record, restart the phone and re-pair the dongle.
